Dhruv Uday Singh

Dhruv Uday Singh is an actor, writer, filmmaker, improviser, and other things you can just say you are. He was born and raised in Mumbai (then Bombay), India, and moved to L.A. to study Creative Writing and Film at the University of Southern California.

Dhruv performs improv weekly with the Harold team Rococo (Mondays and Fridays at UCB Franklin, occasional Thursdays at UCB Sunset) and is an actor on the Maude team temporarily named Almond Girlfriend (first Wednesday of every month at UCB Sunset). He wrote for two years on the amazing Maude team Nephew, was an actor-writer-producer for the Digital team Sancho, and was in the cast of the 2015 ABC Talent Showcase. He also created, hosted, and regularly performs shows at UCB Theaters, iO West and the Groundlings, including the one-of-a-kind non-verbal show The Sound of Silence, and co-hosts/DJ's the cult favorite monthly show I'm Too Effing High (second Friday every month at UCB Franklin). He's also on TV in stuff like Comedy Bang! Bang!, Children's Hospital, Throwing Shade, Bajillion Dollar Propertie$, Drive Share, and every single episode of The Golden Girls.

Dhruv has studied at UCBTLA since 2012 under too many incredible teachers to name, and is a very grateful and gleeful recipient of the UCB Diversity Scholarship. He wants to "shout out" to Jaime Moyer for being so kind so early. Woo!
